About Chetz

Hi I’m Chetz Yusof. I’m 35 years young currently living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with my best friend and  my 12 rescued dogs. They are my family.

I’m grateful for them as they’ve been supporting me and they are my inspiration to follow my dreams.

My Story

Since I was young, I’ve always wanted to be an entrepreneur. This is because I know that only by having my own business, I can live on my own terms and achieve the financial freedom I’ve always dream of.

But somehow, in the early days, the road doesn’t lead to the career path I want. Instead I became an Industrial Engineer, graduated from Marquette University, Wi, U.S.A. in May 1998. For nine years I struggled, searching for the road that I was suppose to be on. I started a few part time businesses and failed.

In March 2007, I saw a detour in front of me. In that month my beloved grandmother passed away, yet I found something that kept me wanting to hold on to my dreams. On March 12 2007, when I was on my way to my grandmother’s funeral, my best friend brought home five puppies, rescuing them from being put to sleep.

Looking at those small little faces, made me told myself, “I can’t wait any longer”. I want to give them the best and inside of me, even I could live comfortably with the salary I earned, I know that wasn’t enough. I want to give my family much much more.

Will work for dog food

Besides that I feel the need to educate people in Malaysia about caring for dogs as they are not being treated well here.

The majority of the Malay race believes that dog is haram in Islam so most of them mistreated dogs and also condemn those Muslims who have dogs.

I believe I have the responsibility to create awareness and to bring the truth to these people.

So, I quit my job and moved to Kuala Lumpur. I learned about making money online, Internet Marketing, blogging, social media and also took a job in a training company to learn about business, leadership and being a speaker. I’ve always imagine myself being an inspirational speaker since I read the book, “See You At The Top” by Zig Ziglar.

Nearly a year there, with the long hours, I noticed that I could actually learned more about leadership, inspiration and motivation from my dogs! If you want to learn about living your life to the fullest, watch a dog.

So, I left and started helping other dog owners to train their dogs. I was really excited as I love dogs. Then I noticed I started became frustrated when some of the dogs did not get previous week’s command, even the easy ones when I came the following week.

After many observations and analysis, I realize I need to come up with a new type of program. A lot of dog trainers just concentrate on the training method and the dogs, not the dog owners.

Training and managing dogs are actually easy, training ourselves is the hard part. Most of us know that we need to be a pack leader and some even know how to be a pack leader, but yet we didn’t do it. It’s like we know the ways to become a millionaire but we still don’t achieve it.

Honestly, my dogs actually didn’t really listen to me at first. Even I knew how to train them the commands, they didn’t obey it all the time. Until I looked at myself and changed what needs to be changed.

Thus, here I’d like to share with you my experience and knowledge to be pack leader, not only to our dogs but in all areas of our lives. The success principles from being a pack leader.

I’m planning a webminar or a seminar to share my knowledge on being a pack leader. If you’re interested to know more about this, please email me at chetzyusof@yahoo[dot]com
